Robbie Williams’ friends bring him cigarettes as a gift when they visit him in Los Angeles. The Stoke-On-Trent-born singer only smokes Silk Cut brand cigarettes but has difficulty buying them in America. Robbie said: “Silk Cut are hard to find in Los Angeles, so I get people to bring them out when they visit. I don’t like smoking anything else.”
Before Christmas, Robbie vowed to quit smoking in 2007. The ‘Angels’ singer, who smokes up to 60 cigarettes a day, insisted he was determined to beat his nicotine addiction after overcoming his problems with alcohol and drugs. He said: “I want to give up cigarettes for good in 2007. I may go and see a hypnotist, that seems like a good idea. I smoke loads and I really don’t want to anymore. But I’m terrified of giving up. I’m a fat bloke inside this body and the minute I stop smoking, I will put on weight.”

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is so addicted to a brand of UK cigarettes, he flies friends over to his Los Angeles home just so he can get his hands on a fresh supply. The ANGELS hitmaker has overcome his drink and drug problems – but has yet to kick his habit of chain-smoking Silk Cut cigarettes.
He says, “Silk Cut are hard to find in LA, so sometimes I fly my mates out because I’m gasping. It’s a very expensive habit!”

Noel Gallagher has launched (another) scathing attack on pop superstar Robbie Williams.
Gallagher, of British band Oasis branded Robbie’s ‘new’ single Rudebox f****** Dog s****. And, to make things worse, Brits judges have ignored Robbie’s ‘new’ music for the first time in ten years. Noel, who used to be friends with Mr Williams, claims that the big man himself ,’knows just how bad his music has become’.
Insiders claim that Robbie’s single Rudebox may be in for the running for ‘Worst Track’ at the Brit awards. And to rub salt in the wound, Oasis will be headlining the Brits on 14 February and will be collecting the prestigious gong for outstanding contribution to music… SHAME!!!

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is the man who proves that money really canât buy you love â or even happiness. Iâve been shown a copy of his companyâs latest accounts, which reveal Robbie paid himself ÂŁ7.2million for the past year. In four years Robbie has raked in a colossal ÂŁ40million. That is ÂŁ35.6million wages with nice dividend payments on top.
The salary alone breaks down as an average of ÂŁ171,000 a week â or ÂŁ25,000 a day. That is more than the highest-paid Premiership footballers get.
Chelseaâs ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO and MICHAEL BALLACK donât really come close. That must be some consolation for the soccer-mad star, who these days seems to enjoy kicking a ball around more than he does performing.
Yet despite all his money, Rob is still single and unhappy. He takes anti-depressants so he doesnât crack up and one famous pal of his told me recently: âRob actually suffers from manic depression.â
If cash really did solve all your problems Robbie would be dancing down the street clicking his heels together. Iâve seen the latest figures filed by Robbieâs accountants for his firm The In Good Company Co Ltd.
It was set up in October 2002 when Robbie signed his deal with EMI Records. For the year ending in March 2006 he paid himself ÂŁ7,186,446. That was based on an increase in turnover to ÂŁ17.2million from ÂŁ15million the previous year. The accounts note that the extra earnings were from income from his Intensive Care album and also from his website robbiewilliams.com â which charges to become a premium member and join his âInner Sanctum.â
The total sum comes from ongoing revenues from all his EMI records, merchandising and all âother commercial activities.â In March 2006 Robbie also had ÂŁ29million in CASH sat in a bank account ready to fund his Intensive Care Tour. The accounts predict a revenue increase in 2007 â thanks to profits from his Rudebox album and the Close Encounters world tour.
So although Rudebox hasnât sold as well as previous Robbie albums, heâs still laughing all the way to the bank . . . or should that be sulking?

Robbie Williams has revealed that he doesn’t want to have children because he wouldnât be able to protect them from potential pain in their lives. In an candid interview with The Big Issue, Robbie said recently: “I donât believe that to be fulfilled you have to have kids.” “Whatâs the point? I canât guarantee my child wonât suffer pain – because that kidâs going to be in pain at some point in their life. I donât want to see that. Itâs too much.”
He added that he also believes he’s achieved everything he wants to achieve in his life: “There’s isn’t a country I want to break, a stadium I want to play, nor a film I want to be in.” “Itâs time for [the character of] Robbie to go away in peoples’ minds – not to be in Britain for a bit.”

When you’re looking to get to the root of your problem, just visit a hypnotist. Robbie Williams has said he is going to make a commitment to himself and recently vowed to quit smoking once and for all by undergoing hypnosis. The British pop star, who smokes up to 60 cigarettes a day, has already given up drugs and alcohol, but now he hopes to kick his other unhealthy habit. Robbie – who was fined $80 for smoking onstage in Australia last week – is so desperate to quit nicotine he has even planned to visit a hypnotist on New Year’s Eve.
He said, “I want to give them up for good in 2007. Seeing a hypnotist on New Year’s Eve seems a good idea to me.” The “Angels” singer has made several attempts to give up cigarettes in the past including a fitness drive last summer. However, Robbie gave into temptation after just a few weeks because he was worried about piling on the pounds. He admitted then, “I smoke loads and I really don’t want to anymore. But I’m terrified of giving up. I’m a fat bloke inside this body and the minute I stop smoking, I will put on weight.”
Robbie’s tour companion includes four packets of cigarettes and four ashtrays. The 32-year-old admitted this week he will never have children. Robbie, who has suffered from depression, says he couldn’t bear to see his children experiencing the same agonizing lows like him. In an interview with British magazine The Big Issue, he said, “I don’t believe that to be fulfilled you have to have kids. What’s the point? I can’t guarantee my child won’t suffer pain because that kid is going to be in pain at some point in their life. I don’t want to see that. It’s too much.”

London, England (BANG) – There’s no stopping this British singer from having sex anytime, anywhere – literally. Robbie Williams will be the first to admit he’s been quite the adventurous type during his lifetime and has even confessed to enjoying sex in public places.
The British pop sensation – who has dated a string of celebrities including model Rachel Hunter and singer Nicole Appleton – says his excessive use of drugs and alcohol during his early career awakened his appetite for daring sexual thrills. He told Britain’s More magazine, “When I used to take drugs, you lose your inhibitions. I’ve had sex in trains, planes and wine bars. And quite a few car parks.” The heartthrob admits he would love to get up close and personal with Madonna. He said, “Even when I’m going out with a girl, I could be home watching TV and a famous girl will come out and I’ll think, ‘Oh, I fancy her.’ Madonna is one of those women.” Robbie says he doesn’t bother getting involved in one-night stands anymore because they’re hard work.
The “Angels” singer – who reportedly has a special book of notes about his conquests – says casual relationships no longer appeal to him because he can’t be bothered with the aftermath. He said, “I suppose one-night stands are becoming too much of a palaver. If a girl comes to my place, nine out of 10 times you will not want to see her in the morning. So these days I can’t really be bothered.” Robbie also says he finds it hard to find romance in Britain because of his popularity and now only dates American women. He said, “I’ve been out with girls here. In Los Angeles, I can try and meet my special someone without the papers f***ing it up.”

London, England (BANG) – After Robbie Williams’s mom recently noticed her son had been spinning out-of-control towards a downhill spiral, she became increasingly concerned for his mental health and decided to do something about it. Reports say the “Angels” singer recenly checked in to see a psychiatrist at the advice of his worried mom. The 32-year-old British star left fans disappointed when he canceled the Asian leg of his tour due to “stress and exhaustion.” Now his mom Jan, a 56-year-old drug counselor, has persuaded him to seek help at a psychiatric practice in Chelsea. A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper that Robbie, currently resting at his home in Los Angeles, turned to a counselor for help after Jan’s “tough words of love.” The singer suffers from bipolar disorder, the clinical term for manic depression, and before canceling his tour had been struggling to get out of bed before 3 p.m. and said he couldn’t face going on stage.
Jan has previously spoken of the periods of depression Robbie calls the “blues” in the past. She said, “He was in the depths of despair. I had to practice what I call tough love. I still loved him but I didn’t like him very much.” In a BBC documentary about manic depression, Robbie told actor Stephen Fry, “I only get the manic highs when I’m on stage, it’s downhill after that.”

ROBBIE Williams is being treated for depression, the Daily Mirror can reveal. The condition – which the troubled star, 32, has battled before – may help explain why he suddenly axed the Asian leg of his world tour this month. Although the official reason given was that he had “stress and exhaustion”, insiders say he has sunk to a new low. A source close to him revealed: “He’s suffered from depression before but feels things are getting worse and the tour was too much.” Robbie is being treated by Dr Mark Collins, a top expert at the Priory clinic in South West London. The star has even flown him to California, where he lives, for sessions. The source added: “He’s determined to get the very best treatment.”
The news comes as he has struggled in the charts and been hit by legal disputes. Comeback single Rudebox flopped and ex-manager Nigel Martin-Smith is threatening to sue over a track on his new album in which he is called an “evil man”. Robbie has talked openly about depression, which he first admitted battling in 2002. In a BBC documentary this month he told Stephen Fry: “I could get up in front of 35,000 or 40,000 people and go, ‘Look at me, I’m ace!’ “Then as soon as I got off stage I’d get in the tour coach and go back to my bedroom and pull the duvet over my eyes.”

Doctors may have given British singer Robbie Williams strict orders to rest, but heâs already planning to hit the road.
Williams, who recently admitted that he was suffering from depression, has reportedly told pals that he is âokayâ, and that after a two-week pit stop, he would be getting ready to perform at his South American tour. “I’m okay. I’m exhausted and haven’t been home for ten months because of my tour and promoting my album. It’s all got too much for me and I have been told to rest for two weeks. My South American tour is coming up and I want to be ready for that,” the News of the World quoted him, as telling pals. Williamsâ six day long South American tour takes place next month in October, a time when his new album RudeBox is also released. A pal revealed that though Williams was feeling âfragileâ, he was still determined to go through with the tour. “He’s not the first or the last person to go through this and is feeling fragile. But he wants to finish the tour and when he wants to do something he makes it happen,” the friend said. Williams was forced to cancel the Asian leg of his âClose Encountersâ world tour due to “stress and exhaustion”, but is determined not to let the same happen to his South American tour.
