Williams Apologises For Scrapping Show

Robbie Williams has apologised to fans in Denmark from his sick bed after a bout of severe food poisoning forced his band Take That to cancel a show in the country. The Angels hitmaker, who is on his first tour with the band since he quit to go solo in 1995, became “violently ill” on Friday (15Jul11) after eating seafood.
His condition was so bad the group had to call off a show in Copenhagen on Saturday (16Jul11) – the first time Take That has ever scrapped a concert. Williams wrote on his official website to tell of his devastation at letting his fans down, and posted a snap of himself ill in bed attached to an intravenous drip. The blog post reads, “Hey folks… thank you for your messages and love… I’m not completely out of the woods yet… but feeling much better… “Gutted for everyone involved with the tour… feeling dreadful for letting the fans down… I’m so, so sorry… here’s ( a picture of) me and my drip….”
