Williams is used to receiving awards for his music – but now he has been nominated as a Sentinel Hero for the work he does for charity. While the singer, above, may have long left his native Stoke-on-Trent, the Potteries are never far from his thoughts, as he has shown in his song lyrics and interviews. And numerous charities and community groups have been given cash by the singer, through the Give It Sum fund he set up for Comic Relief in 2000. Then, Robbie used ÂŁ2 million he earned from advertising Pepsi cola to launch the venture so he could give back to worthy causes in the city of his birth. Read the rest…

Robbie has been questioned by Bahamas’ police

Police in the Bahamas have questioned the pop star Robbie Williams over an armed robbery against two paparazzi who had snapped him on a beach the previous day.

The photographers, Matt Sanchez of Splash News & Picture Agency and Carlos Mendez, an American freelance – said that four armed men broke into their rented room in the early hours of Sunday.

They were alleged to have held a gun to Mr Sanchez’s head and threatened to kill both men before leaving with $20,000 worth of cash, cameras and other equipment. Read the rest…
