TV and Radio 8 Comments

Robbie Williams will present a BBC Radio 4 programme about aliens in May. The popstar teamed up with regular documentary maker Jon Ronson to record the show in Los Angeles and at a UFO conference in Laughlin, Nevada, earlier this year. According to the BBC, Williams approached the broadcasters suggesting the subject as an idea for a documentary. The programme will be called Robbie Williams and Jon Ronson Journey to the Other Side and will air on May 6 at 6:30pm. It was reported last month that the former Take That singer was looking to invest in a £2.5 million observatory in Arizona. (by: A. Fletcher)

Rob discourages Kylie in cracking the american market

Gossips 1 Comment

Kylie Minogue can forget counting on pal Robbie Williams for support in her bid to enter the American music scene. The English “Millennium” singer is trying to discourage the Australian pop star from hitting the U.S. market. Minogue, who has only two tracks that successfully entered the states, is exerting great efforts to break into the American market by appearing on TV shows to promote her album. However, Williams is advising her to keep a low profile in the country.

A source says, “Minogue has spoken about it with Williams. He told her he loves being largely unknown when he’s at home in the States, while cash rolls in from the rest of the world.” Williams thinks she should keep the U.S. as a place she can go to escape the spotlight. But Minogue doesn’t agree and has decided on one final push.” The “Locomotion” singer had tried to explain why she’s not as successful in the U.S. as she is in her native Australia and U.K.

She had said, “It’s a notoriously difficult market. To know where I fit within that market is very difficult.” (by: Anne Lu, CNU)
